Course Outline
PTLLS stands for ‘Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector’ and is now an essential initial qualification for anyone wanting to work within the UK Lifelong Learning Sector. This course is for anyone wishing to teach or train adults and it leads to a nationally recognised certificate. It covers the following types of UK institutions: community learning and development centres, further education colleges, probation services and organisations where work-based learning takes place.
Who should attend?
Anyone who wishes to deliver mandatory training for the Health and Social Care sector, or deliver any training that is funded through the government is required to have a PTLLS qualification. If you are a nominated trainer for your organisation it is advisable to have a PTLLS qualification.
This course covers
Several different areas, by the end of the course, the learner will have knowledge of an introduction to adult learning, lesson planning and how to deliver a lesson to learning adults, practical teaching sessions, how to vary learning techniques, how to recognise and deal with potential learning difficulties, assessing how well pupils are learning, and how to use teaching equipment and aids.

Course Tools & Assessment Method
Power point Presentation, Syndicate Exercises, Practical Exercises and Group Discussion. Learner’s knowledge is evidenced by verbal or written questioning.
Certification given on completion.
Identification
PTLLS Course Book, PowerPoint Presentation, Physical Intervention Skills demonstration and four multiple choice examination papers.
Please note – All delegates MUST bring with them their identification on the first day of training.
Certificates will be issued by H.A.B.C for Pole Position Training on completion of the training.
